Take control of the growth and strategy for the team developing the core of our product’s back end.
We follow an API-first approach, which means all features and functionality are provided to applications and front-end implementations. We handle tens of millions of transactions every day, and performance is a key aspect of doing things right.

You will lead an existing team of senior and mid-level developers, hire new team members when needed, and drive the team toward achieving technical excellence through mentorship, professional development, and effective communication. Most importantly, you will encourage a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Responsibilities:

Maintain high team efficiency, development speed, and high quality of output.

Run team ceremonies, set daily work goals, ensure smooth workflows, and help the team reach objectives agreed upon with the Product organization.

Maintain a fully staffed team and lead recruitment for any open roles.

Evaluate and support team development; manage personal development, training plans, career progression, and promotions.

Evaluate performance on a regular basis, recommend salary adjustments, and maintain retention and succession plans for team members.

Organize workflows, coordinate and supervise work, ensure quality, and make sure tasks are completed on time — including adhering to delivery schedules.

Ensure the team understands and follows established processes and technologies.

Act as a senior developer within the team approximately 75% of the time.

Requirements:

4–5 years of back-end development experience.

At least 60–70% of that experience must be with Golang.

Strong knowledge of agile development methodologies.

Excellent proficiency in Golang and SQL, including unit testing, integration testing, and security testing.
