Partnerships/Business Development Lead

As Multilogin’s first business development hire in China, you will play a foundational role in launching and growing our presence in this strategically important and unique market. You’ll be responsible for initiating and managing local partnerships, brand collaborations, and B2B relationship-building within the tech, SaaS, agency, affiliate, and automation communities.
This is a hands-on, execution-first role—starting with direct outreach, small-scale strategic partnerships, and shoutout deals with relevant local companies. Over time, you’ll hire and lead local business development contributor(s) and help shape our go-to-market approach in China.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage potential local partners (e.g., SaaS companies, complementary tool vendors, agency networks, antidetect browser communities, local influencers)
- Hire and lead business development individual contributors as needed
- Drive and negotiate partnership deals (e.g., mutual promotions, referrals, co-branded activities) to establish early traction
- Build and maintain strong relationships within China's tech/startup/automation ecosystems
- Collaborate with Multilogin’s global marketing and product teams to localize communication
- Represent Multilogin at key events, conferences, and business community meetups
- Develop long-term relationships with local stakeholders and ecosystem players
- Report to the international business team lead with updates on BD metrics and market feedback
Requirements
Must-Haves
- 3+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or outbound B2B sales
- Proven track record of building and closing partnerships from scratch
- Fluent in Mandarin and excellent English communication skills (written & spoken)
- Strong understanding of Chinese digital, SaaS, or marketing ecosystems
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Proactive, independent, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience launching a product or team in a new regional market (especially in China)
- Existing network of potential partners
- Background in SaaS, automation tools, browser technologies, or affiliate marketing
- Familiarity with startup and digital marketing communities in China
- Presence in Guangzhou’s business development or tech ecosystem
- Prior leadership or hiring experience
- Active participation in local tech/business communities (e.g., 微信公众号, 知乎, 小红书, WeChat groups)
